USMA Hosts Public Officials at Tony Stewart's All Star Circuit of Champions Event

Franklin, PA -- The United States Motorsports Association (USMA), Tri-City Raceway Park and Tony Stewart's Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions hosted several State and Local Officials for the final night of the inaugural I-79 Summer Shootout, held on Sunday July 31st at Tri-City Raceway Park near Franklin, PA. The Public Officials welcomed the race teams and fans to the conclusion of the three nights of racing held at three tracks across Western Pennsylvania.
State and Local Officials received a behind the scenes look at the race track facility and had the opportunity to speak with track and series management. The positive economic impacts the event provides and recent improvements to the race track were all topics of discussion. Series owner and racing legend Tony Stewart was also in attendance and took time to speak with several of the public officials giving them insights into dirt track racing.
“There has been much effort to improve our facility and make it one of the finest dirt tracks in Pennsylvania,” Stated Chip Wagner, Promoter at Tri-City Raceway Park. “We thank the USMA for inviting out our elected officials and appreciate all who attended and took such a great interest in the benefits dirt tracking racing provides to Venango County.”
In attendance was: PA State Senator Scott Hutchinson; PA State Representative R. Lee James; Venango County Commissioner “Chip” Abramovic; Oakland Township Supervisors George Flockerzi, Craig Plowman, and Glenn Speer; Oil Region Alliance President/CEO John R. Phillips II; Michael Dulaney, Executive Assistant to the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce; and USMA Government Affairs Director, Robert Johnson.
“I want to thank Tri-City Raceway Park and the USMA for a fun and informative event. Motorsports brings many benefits to Franklin and our region," expressed PA State Representative Lee James. "It's encouraging to see Tri-City Raceway Park in such great condition and able to attract a major touring series like the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions.”
The racers were greeted to full grandstands and the fans were rewarded with one of the most exciting finishes of the year. With fans on their feet Kraig Kinser battled Sheldon Haudenschild in the final laps with Kinser taking the win in the final turns.
