Harrisburg, PA--

Members of the Motorsports Industry came from all over the State of Pennsylvania on Tuesday, where they gathered at the State Capitol to participate in the United States Motorsports Association's PA Motorsports Rally. The day began with a visit to the House floor where representatives of Maple Grove Raceway, Williams Grove Speedway, High Point Raceway, Pitt-Race and Mike Hepp Racing were recognized.

Representative David M. Maloney (Chairman of the PA Motorsports Caucus) submitted a resolution approved by the House unanimously to declare June 10th thru June 17th Motorsports Week across the Commonwealth.

“As the new chairman of the legislative Motorsports Caucus, I am very encouraged with the response yesterday by my colleagues and the public to our promotion of motorsports in Pennsylvania,” said Rep. Maloney. “When I go to the events, I see families enjoying a truly wholesome and all-American sport that benefits Pennsylvania economically. This is something we can and should cultivate and grow.”

Throughout the day race tracks and industry businesses met with their legislators to promote the benefits of racing. The day concluded with a networking forum and reception that included Motorsports Industry Members, State Senators, and State Representatives.
