Safety-Kleen® to Host Launch of SAVE GRASSROOTS RACING™ Campaign at 30th PRI Show

(Indianapolis, IN.) December 4th, 2017 – Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company, announced today they will host the official launch of the Save Grassroots Racing™ campaign at the 2017 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, held in Indianapolis this week. Organized by the United States Motorsports Association (USMA), this major campaign will mobilize millions of racers and fans across the country to work with various government agencies and representatives to help eliminate regulation and legislation harmful to the grassroots racing industry.

Save Grassroots Racing will officially kick off Thursday December 9th at 9:00am inside the Safety-Kleen display area (Booth #5349). Exhibitors and Attendees are encouraged to stop by the booth to Register your campaign petition. Signing the petition is free and fast. As an incentive for all who participate in the campaign Safety-Kleen, Polaris, and Pull-A-Part are providing one free raffle ticket to win a 2018 Polaris RZR 1000. The Free ticket is only available at the PRI show. In addition, Safety Kleen will be giving away a variety of environmentally responsible products that help race shops and other automotive facilities stay clean and perform better.

“More than 30-years ago Safety-Kleen pioneered new environmental standards for motorsports across all types of racing formats. The Save Grassroots Racing campaign is similar in its approach," said Leigh Harrington, Vice President, Motorsports Marketing, Safety-Kleen. "No matter what or where you race, it's crucial that we all join together as one strong voice for the future of our sport."

At nearly every race track in the nation you'll see Safety-Kleen collecting oil, oil filters and just about any other fluid that comes out of a race car, and then recycling or reusing those materials to protect the environment. The company also provides a line of parts washer equipment and cleaning solutions that are used by large and small race teams and racing-related manufacturers.

Grassroots racing makes up the largest sector of motorsports contributing to billions of dollars in economic impacts, millions of jobs, feeding thousands of small businesses and providing tremendous local community benefits. Many elected officials have not been informed of the benefits. To outsiders, racing still has negative perceptions such as being loud, dirty, and economically poor. The Save Grassroots Racing campaign aims to change those perceptions, while promoting the true size and scope of motorsports and inspiring the next generation of grassroots racers.

You can support the campaign by going to www.SaveRacing.com and signing the petition or becoming a USMA Member.
