The Lights Remain on at Summit Motorsports Park

A while back the USMA supported Summit Motorsports Park with an effort to change a ruling that would have required one of America's greatest race tracks to take down several light poles. The loss of the lights could have been detrimental to the track. USMA helped intervene and all involved were successful in mitigating the issue. The USMA returned to the track this summer to invite local, state, and federal officials to the 12th Annual NHRA Summit Racing Equipment Nationals. Elected Officials were thanked for their support of the track and got an up close look (or rather feeling) of watching 300+MPH Top fuel dragsters. In addition, the officials toured the track and had the opportunity to talk with fans, track workers, and racers on all levels.
