Thunderhill Raceway Park in Northern California is nearing completion of a major rebuild and repaving of its three-mile East course.
Rather than simply putting down new asphalt, Thunderhill addressed decades-old issues beneath the racing surface, rebuilding portions of the track foundation while improving drainage and laying a new multi-layer racing surface.
The roughly $10 million investment is designed to give the track another 20–25 years of life.
For motorsports, investments like this matter. Healthy, modern racing facilities provide places to race, test, develop products, host events and bring the automotive community together—and Thunderhill is making a significant commitment to its future.
