Chaos Motorsports on display at the WV Capitol fresh off completing the King of Hammers Event
The 2024 Motorsports Day held at the West Virginia Capitol was presented by Senator Mark Maynard on Friday, February 23rd. The WV Racing Industry showed its commitment to continue engaging and educating Elected Officials of the importance Motorsports provides to the “Wild and Wonderful” State. Over 30 racing vehicles lined the Capitol entrances representing many forms of racing.
West Virginia is becoming a National destination for Off Road enthusiasts with miles of incredible trails and off road friendly towns. It’s also home to Chaos Motorsports’ AK Whatley, who received recognition on the house floor for representing WV in the completion of one of the most grueling off road races on the planet, the 2024 King of Hammers event held in Johnson Valley, California.
USMA’s Government Affairs Director, Robert Johnson, joined the event, meeting with lawmakers, businesses, and various industry related organizations providing a national perspective.
"Motorsports Day at the West Virginia Capitol in Charleston highlights the many economic and recreational benefits of racing across the State", said Robert Johnson, USMA Director of Government Affairs. "We thank Senator Maynard and the other Legislators for their support of all forms of racing."
